Delhi NCR outstation toll database: what tolls cost and why they change

Toll is the line item customers query most and understand least. It is also the one that changes without anyone telling you, on a fixed annual schedule.

This is our maintained reference: verified corridor totals by vehicle class for the fifteen routes we publish, plus the rules that govern why those numbers are what they are and when they will move.

Coverage, stated up front

Two levels of detail, and it matters which is which:

• Corridor totals, all 15 routes — the full one-way FASTag amount for each vehicle class. These are our own verified figures, drawn from what our fleet actually pays.
• Named plazas — published below only where we can point at a public source. We are not going to divide a corridor total across a plaza list assembled from memory. A table that looks authoritative and is invented is worse than a table with acknowledged gaps.

The authoritative national plaza register is the NH fee plaza list published by IHMCL, NHAI's electronic tolling subsidiary. If you need every plaza on a stretch, that is the source.

Rajasthan and the Golden Triangle

The axle-class rule that surprises everyone

Across every corridor above, one pattern holds: SUV and Innova pay exactly the same toll. Ertiga, Innova Crysta and Innova Hycross sit in the same fee class at these plazas. On Manali that is ₹980 for all three; on Jaipur, ₹890.

The Urbania is consistently double the SUV rate — ₹1,950 against ₹980 on Manali, ₹1,780 against ₹890 on Jaipur. That is the light/heavy commercial split, and it is the only place in our fleet where toll genuinely changes a vehicle decision. See one Urbania or two SUVs for where that lands financially.

Practical consequence: if you are choosing between an Ertiga and an Innova, toll is not a factor. Ignore it and decide on space.

Named plazas on the Delhi-Jaipur corridor

The Delhi–Jaipur NH-48 route is the best-documented in public sources, so it is the one we can name plazas on:

• Kherki Daula, Gurgaon. Rates were revised upward in November 2025, applying to all vehicle categories other than local vehicles, per the Indian Express.
• Shahjahanpur, on the Delhi–Jaipur stretch. In the 2026 revision the car, jeep and van rate moved from ₹195 to ₹215 — a ₹20 increase, as ET TravelWorld reported.
• Manoharpura, in Rajasthan. Notable because barrier-less tolling launched here first, and MoRTH has since stated an intention to make the entire Delhi–Jaipur section of NH-48 barrier-free (Economic Times).

Note that the ₹215 car rate at a single plaza sits against a ₹580 sedan total for the whole corridor — which tells you Shahjahanpur is roughly a third of the Delhi–Jaipur toll on its own, and that the remainder is spread across the other plazas.

Why the numbers move every April

Toll rates are not set at the operator's discretion and they are not static. They are revised annually under the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, indexed to the Wholesale Price Index, with the revision taking effect on 1 April.

Recent revisions have run between roughly 2.5% and 7% depending on the plaza and the year. The April 2025 national revision averaged 4 to 5 percent; the 2026 round came in between 5 and 7 percent at many plazas.

What this means for you as a customer: a toll figure quoted in February is not the toll you pay in April. Any operator publishing toll amounts without a last-verified date is either not updating them or not telling you. Ours were verified on 25 August 2026 and we re-verify after each April revision.

The FASTag Annual Pass does not apply to your cab

This comes up constantly and the answer is counterintuitive, so it is worth being explicit.

MoRTH and NHAI launched the FASTag Annual Pass on 15 August 2025. It is currently ₹3,075, having been revised up from ₹3,000, and it covers up to 200 trips or one year, whichever comes first, at designated National Highway and National Expressway plazas.

It is restricted to private cars, jeeps and vans, and excludes commercial vehicles — see the NETC FAQ and the IHMCL Annual Pass FAQ.

Every vehicle in our fleet is a commercial yellow-plate tourist-permit vehicle. None of them is eligible. So when a customer asks why we do not simply buy annual passes and stop charging toll, the answer is that the scheme is not open to us. If you drive your own car to Manali you can use it; a chauffeur-driven cab cannot.

It also does not cover every plaza — some expressways sit outside the designated set even for eligible private vehicles.

Cash is being phased out

NHAI has been tightening FASTag enforcement and moving national highway plazas to a zero-cash footing, alongside a rollout of multi-lane free-flow tolling on stretches including Delhi–Jaipur NH-48. The practical effect for a passenger is that the old mental model — driver stops, hands over notes, may or may not produce a receipt — is going away. Toll becomes an electronic line item with a statement behind it.

That is good for you. It means the toll on your trip is auditable. If you need the per-plaza detail for an expense claim, ask us for the FASTag statement after the trip runs and you will get the actual charges rather than an estimate.

Method and maintenance

• Figures are one-way, per vehicle class, for the corridor end to end.
• State levies are shown separately in each table's source note — Himachal's green cess, Rajasthan and Punjab road tax, Uttarakhand entry permit. Where our fare is all-inclusive, these are already in it.
• Captured 25 August 2026. Re-verified after each 1 April revision.
• Parking is never included. It is charged at actuals and hill-town lots vary widely.
