Highway stops out of Delhi with restrooms we actually check
A maintained list, not a listicle. If a stop is on it, a HireTrust chauffeur has used it this year and the restroom flag is a judgement we stand behind.
This is the list our chauffeurs actually route breaks against, on the fifteen corridors we publish verified data for. Distance is from Delhi. The restroom column is a judgement, not a marketing claim, and some entries fail it.
If you are travelling with children, elderly parents, or anyone for whom "we'll stop when we find somewhere" is not an acceptable plan, this is the useful part of trip planning and almost nobody publishes it.

Source: HireTrust chauffeur reports. “Not recommended” means our drivers do not route a restroom break here — it is recorded rather than hidden, because a list where everything passes tells you nothing.
Sorted by distance from Delhi rather than by corridor, because that is how you use it: you are 100 km out and you want to know what is coming.
How to read it
"Pass" means a chauffeur used it recently and would use it again. It is not a hygiene certification. It means the restrooms were functioning, attended and clean enough that we route a family break there.
"Not recommended" is the honest half. Two entries fail — the Dat Kali Mandir rest point at the top of Mohand Ghat on the Dehradun run, and the Mussoorie Diversion chai point at the foot of the Mussoorie climb. Both are places our drivers stop, because they are well-placed for tea and a stretch at the exact moment you want one. Neither is a place to plan a restroom stop. We record that rather than quietly dropping them, because a list on which everything passes is a list that tells you nothing.
The clustering is not random
Look at the 50 km and 105–115 km bands. Almost every corridor has a stop there, and it is because that is roughly 60 to 90 minutes out of Delhi — the first point at which a car full of people wants to stop, and far enough that the roadside economy has organised itself around it.
- Murthal at 50 km serves both the Chandigarh and Amritsar runs. Amrik Sukhdev is the well-known one and it is genuinely good at breakfast. It is also extremely busy from about 8 AM, which is another argument for the early departure.
- Mansurpur / Khatauli at 105–115 km serves Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussoorie — all four Uttarakhand corridors share this stretch of NH-334. Namaste Midway and Cheetal Grand are both here. Cheetal Grand is the better-known name; both pass.
- Gajraula at 110–112 km is the Nainital and Kainchi Dham equivalent on NH-9, and has both a dhaba and a Bikanervala/McDonald's option within 2 km.
- Yamuna Expressway KM 65 serves Agra and Mathura-Vrindavan. It is a purpose-built expressway rest area, which means it is predictable rather than charming.
The practical consequence: if you are on any Uttarakhand corridor, plan your first real stop at 105 km, not before. There is very little worth stopping at between Ghaziabad and Mansurpur.
The long-corridor gaps
On the longer runs the spacing gets uncomfortable and it is worth knowing in advance:
- Manali: Karnal at 130 km, then nothing we recommend until Sundernagar at 380 km. That is a 250 km gap through the Kiratpur tunnel section. Fill up and use the facilities at Karnal.
- Amritsar: Murthal at 50 km, then Jalandhar at 375 km. A 325 km gap on eight-lane highway — there are options in between, they are just not ones we would route a family break to.
- Ayodhya: the first stop we recommend is at 310 km on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. This is the sparsest corridor on the list.
- Shimla: Karnal at 130 km, then Timber Trail Parwanoo at 270 km. Use Parwanoo — it is the last properly clean facility before the climb.
If someone in the car needs more frequent stops than that, tell us when you book. The chauffeur can plan around it; he cannot improvise clean facilities that are not there.
What we use this for internally
Every corridor we publish has to have at least three of these recorded before we consider its content complete. Two currently do not — Kainchi Dham has one and several hill corridors have two — and they are flagged in our own build as content debt rather than quietly padded out with plausible-sounding dhaba names.
That is the same standard we apply to distances and fares. A named stop at a stated kilometre marker with a restroom verdict is a checkable claim. If we have not checked it, it does not go on the list.
Corridor pages
Each stop appears on its corridor's page in context, alongside the toll breakdown and departure window for that route: Delhi to Jaipur taxi, Delhi to Agra taxi, Delhi to Manali taxi and Delhi to Haridwar taxi are the four most-asked.
If a stop on this list has gone downhill since we last used it, tell us — the restroom flags are only worth something if they are current.
